my bio page

Beginning with snapping thousands of photos of my favorite subject, my daughter Kate, I have successfully gone from the transition of film to digital photography. I have worked with over eleven years of different digital cameras, photographic software, and pc platforms. Previous to that I worked seven years with high-end film cameras taking pictures with color and black & white film.
From my photography style you not only get what other photographers have to offer; someone who is friendly, energetic, and experienced. In addition, to this you get a woman who will listen, understand, and who has an eye and the passion for capturing emotion and that split second expression that will make you cry, cringe, or laugh for years to come. My work has been expressed as real and touching. I capture the photos you will love to put in your wedding album or scrapbook. From your wedding décor such as the rice that has fallen on the sidewalk, the location and how beautiful the day was, all of your friends & family to the very last captivated moment where your parents stand watching with tears and a smile on their face waving as you drive off as a happily married couple for the first time. My work stands out not only because they are moments that you made, but because I captivate them for your heart.
Among my photography accomplishments, I have helped raise an intelligent, well-rounded daughter who continues to exceed my expectations. Who graduated from Ursuline Academy of Dallas in 2007 and is now attending Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Her understanding of my passion for photography has helped me get where I am today.

Rachel,
I just wanted to let you
know that I got my bridal pictures in the mail this week. They look so
good!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. We are trying right now to figure
out which one we want to use for the canvas picture for the wedding. We
know we want to go with one that shows the back and me looking over my shoulder
we are just not quite sure which one. they are all so great.
I know me and DJ would
still like to schedule a time to do our engagement pictures. They will probably
need to be done in july. The early the better.
Well thanks for
everything.

Hello Rachel,
I have
decided on the picture I am going to use for the canvas. The number I
have chosen is 0406. It is the one that has the small waterfall in the
background and it also has a lot of greenery. It took us forever to pick
out one, because you did such a great job on all of them. My mom was also
wanting to know how much it costs to get about 100 wallets. We were going
to choose another picture for the wallets, but we were wondering how much it
cost. We are going to be ordering a lot more later, but we just wanted to
get you that picture, so that you can get started on the canvas. My mom
also wanted to know if the canvas is already framed or if we need to go and
order one. Well, sorry it took me so long to get this to you. Let
me know if you have any questions on the picture. Thanks again for
everything!

Rachel,
Thanks for all your time today. I truly appreciate you. To
be honest with you I under estimated the time it would take to complete
the photo shoot. I saw first hand what you go through in taking
pictures and the amount of time it takes out of your schedule. I also
appreciate the detailed effort you put into the photo shoot. Today really
meant a lot to me because I will now have professional photos of some
of my inventory. Speaking of professional photos when I place my
photographs in my album I will place your information with pricing in the
album as well. As clients look through the beautiful photos they will
know that you took the pictures and I will give them your name and number.
Thanks again for everything!!

Permission to Use Photos on PSA |

Hi Rachel,
Hope you’re doing well,
Every year, Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation and one of our signature volunteer groups, PHorum, organize and host a 5K race to benefit the children and families of the Vickery Meadow neighborhood. 100 percent of the money raised goes back to the community—that is how we were able to support the opening of the Community Dental Care clinic in the neighborhood last year.
We have an opportunity with WFAA, Ch. 8 and KFWD, Ch. 52
(the sister station of WFAA) to produce a public service
announcement to promote this year’s race, which will be held May 17 at
Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas . WFAA, KFWD and The Dallas Morning News are
some of our sponsors for the race.
I was wondering if you would be OK with us including some of the photos taken
from the Center’s grand opening for our PSA. We’d definitely like to use the
photo of the ribbon cutting ceremony (IMG_0087), as well as the photo of the
signage (IMG_0004). We are going to provide the WFAA producers with about 10-12
photos of last year’s race and the kids in the neighborhood and would like to
include those two photos as well. There is a chance they might not use the
Community Dental Care clinic photos, but we’ve asked them to mention that as an
example of the community outreach during the PSA.
Do we have your permission to send the producer those two
photos? There is a chance the photos will be used during the PSA, which is
scheduled to run at least the week before the race.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,
Barbara

Rachel,
Oh my goodness, the pictures came out
so well!! You will need to give me a few days to decide on the pictures we
would like. I know the 400 prints we get are 4 x 6, but do we get any 8 x 10's
or any other size that is in our package?
Also, my sister (one of the
bridesmaids) is getting married next March 14th I believe in Houston, TX. She
is very interested in using you, and the package we went with. She would like
to know if you travel at all, and if so, how much would you charge to travel
down to Houston for the day?
Thanks!!
Kayte

I hate to bother you
again…
I’ll bet the albums that
come with the package don’t hold 8x10’s?
Also, do you offer a
discount if you order a certain amount of EXTRA 8x10’s? It is just too hard to
settle for only 60…
and we want the larger photos, the 4x6’s just don’t do the photos justice.

album that comes with my package. Also, my mom was wanting to know how big the
canvas portrait is. I am sorry, but we forgot what we had decided on. Thanks
for your time!! And...you did a great job at the Wedding!!! Thanks!

Oh my Goodness. .
the pictures came out better than I hoped. It was so hard narrowing all the
pictures down to the one we wanted for the reception. You just did a fabulous
job!!
I keep meaning to
email you when I'm at home, so I can tell you which one we want. However it is
the first one on the CD, if you need the picture number, I will email you
tonight.
Thanks,
Kayte
